Maths Numeracy hour Primary Framework for Numeracy The core learning objectives are available for you take home Ø NC levels what is expected Ø Ø Ø • 5 -10 mins mental maths/warm up (chanting tables, counting on/backwards, bingo, guess my number, show me) • 15 mins to introduce/explain topic, shared activities • 5 mins to explain the independent task (textbook / practical work /playing a game) • 20 mins independent task • 10 mins plenary – go over any problems and possible self/peer marking

Spelling Homework/Words Wednesday 1 Week Literacy Homework Thursday Friday 1 Evening Given Out Handed In How long do I have to complete it? Friday Monday 3 Days (Weekend) Maths Homework (Children may be asked to stay in, unless they have a note from the parent/carer explaining why they were unable to complete the homework)

Resources Ø There are many affordable resources available in shops that can help children

What to remember… Ø P. E. bags should be brought into school on Monday

What to remember… Ø P. E. bags should be brought into school on Monday and taken home on Friday • A P. E. kit should include: a white t-shirt, blue or black shorts, white socks, black plimsolls and trainers. Track suit top and bottoms can be worn during the cold months (blue/black). • Please remember to name each item of the P. E. kit. • P. E is a legal requirement, therefore a child will only be excused if there is a medical reason, which must be supported by a written note. • Jewellery must be removed when doing PE and long hair must be tied back.
