What is Pre-Production? • Pre-Production is the process of the elements involved within a film and the thought behind every shot and movement. • Every Film, Music video, Song, Theatre and Photography has this stage in it, as every piece of work done by a creative is a well thought-out process. • This includes Location, , so the project is done to the. Props, People involved, Costings and Shots best it can be. • Also special effects is a feature of pre-production as at the climax of your project it want to be clean, as this is the big moment what people will remember and with that you need to think hard about the special effect and how effective it will be on the film and the audience.

Why is it Important? • Pre-production is a key stage within any project, This is the planning and research done before the project starts to be produced. • It all needs to be planned otherwise when you skip the preproduction phase you tend to rush and vital moments in the project won’t look as good as it should do. • You want your project to be to the best of your ability and skipping this process, will poteinally ruin the project.
