Preparation Tips • Your environment • Good internet connection • Quiet space, minimize disruptions • Have paper and pen ready to write notes • Employers • Look at list and identify employers you want to talk to • Research companies, check availability • Have questions ready

Writing Professionally • Full words, sentences and punctuation • Only abbreviate a few items (i. e. CWU, BA/BS, etc. ) • Spelling/grammar • Sparse use of emoticons • Have pre-written examples of common questions you can copy and paste • How to end conversations professionally

Talking About Yourself • What are the most important things for the employer to know about you? • Create a list or highlight items on resume • Tailoring discussions to specific employers • Balance of confidence and humility • Clear, concise statements • Use examples when possible
