Teaching • The structure of an informative piece of writing is very similar to the structure of an argumentative essay (Literacy Essay unit). • Therefore, the Box-and-Bullets plan we learned in our last unit will definitely help us organize our new learning.
Teaching • For your literary essays, you created a claim, which you defended with three supporting reasons. • For this informational writing piece, you have identified a topic to research and conducted research on that topic. • You will now identify three key points to organize the researched information, in order to organize how you will teach your reader about the topic.
