PROBLEM & SOLUTION ü Clearly define the gap in the market and/or pain point ü Highlight key aspects of your solution: why is your answer unique, smart or clever? ü Help communicate your idea using diagrams, demonstrations or models
MAKING MONEY ü Try to explain how you will make money in one sentence ü Keep the description of your business model as short as possible: two to three sentences ü Highlight key points: potential growth, possible partnerships, expected revenue per customer
MAKE AN IMPACT You and Your Delivery Style • Appearance: think about this carefully as first impressions count • Body Language: make your gestures appropriate and not a distraction Your Voice • Be aware of how you use your voice to affect the mood: the speed and volume of your voice will have an impact Interaction • Short and crisp message: think about this carefully as first impressions count • Scenarios help people visualize what you are talking about
MAKE AN IMPACT Delivering as a Team • Be clear on roles: who is the MC? How does one part of the presentation lead into another and how are they seamlessly introduced? Practice, practice and when you have practiced enough, practice again…it will not always go to plan and the more rehearsed the more you will be able to adapt when you pitch.
