Purpose of WIOA (2014) Increase preparation/education and supports related to employment for low-income, at-risk, vulnerable populations WIOA and Pre-ETS Goal for Pre-ETS Ensure students with disabilities receive highquality, evidence-based Pre-ETS that lead to successful postsecondary education and employment outcomes Broaden the scope and range of services to meet the needs of individual students within Local Education Agencies (LEAs)
VR (Supervisors and Pre-Employment Transition Specialists) and contractors work in collaboration with each other and LEAs in all 95 counties Who Delivers Services TSWs and CRPs deliver a majority of services, Pre-Employment Transition Specialists can provide one service when necessary Pre-Employment Transition Specialists and their supervisor ensure students are referred to adult services when necessary
Collaborative Activities Services are developed and delivered in collaboration with schools Better and more services can be provided when we work together Pre-ETS support the transition program already established in schools Enhances what the school is already doing
Pre-ETS in Tennessee FY 2018: 9, 992 unique Pre-ETS were delivered FY 2019 Goal: Increase delivery by 5% to 10, 492 services Total unique services delivered FY 2019: 44, 251 Moving Forward Increase knowledge around and quality delivery of Pre-ETS Work with schools as a support to strengthen transition programs Maximize resources available to students
