Terms and Conditions • Section 40. – Travel Compensation: the Contractor shall not be compensated or reimbursed for travel, meals or lodging • Section 39. – Warranty • Further defined in the Specifications • Section 1 of Special Terms and Conditions – F. O. B. Destination
Specifications • Please be sure to read the Specifications in their entirety • Not all specifications will be covered today
Specifications • Section 1. 4 Mandatory requirements – 24/7 service center, both in-house and on-site, must have mobile service trucks – Minimum 5 years experience repairing and maintaining the apparatus bid – Certified factory trained technicians shall perform all repairs and testing • The State will conduct tests upon delivery and reserves the right to reject apparatus if two tests are failed or vendor is non-compliant • Section 1. 6 Delivery – Must be between 8 am and 3 pm – Minimum ¼ tank of fuel – 3 sets of ignition keys and 3 sets of other component keys per unit
Specifications • Section 1. 7 – Drawings and Specifications must be submitted with the bid. Copying the State’s specifications will not be considered sufficient • Drawings are: – Computer Generated – “C” size – Clearly indicate cab design, pump location, intakes and discharges, ground ladder storage and dimensions and compartmentation – Show both sides, front and back of the vehicle – Drawings will again be provided by the vendor at the time of delivery and compared to both the previously provided drawings and delivered apparatus • Section 1. 10 Pre-Construction Conference and Inspection Trips – Will take place at winning vendor’s factory and at this time the agency will approve final designs and mounting locations, PRIOR to beginning of construction – 2 inspection trips will take place after the initial pre-construction conference
Specifications • Section 1. 12 Performance Bond – Winning vendor will provide a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid within fourteen (14) days after receiving the official notice of award of contract. • Section 1. 13 Bid Bond – Bid bond or certified check in the amount of ten percent (10%) shall be furnished with the bidder’s proposal. • Section 1. 14 Product Liability Insurance – PLI of not less than five million dollars ($5, 000. 00) shall be supplied by the bidder. Must be included with bid. • Section 1. 15 Manufacturer Solvency – Each bid must include a financial statement from Dun and Bradstreet or another nationally recognized accounting firm

Code Ann. § 12 -4 -703 • The state has 45 days to pay an invoice • Invoice shall be furnished to the state when unit is being delivered • Section 1. 19 Warranties – Warranty to begin on date vehicle is accepted and placed in service • • • Apparatus Body – 20 years Chassis Frame Rails – 20 years Corrosion – 5 years Electrical/Electronic Systems – 5 years Engine – 5 years Fire Pump – 5 years Front and Rear Axles – 3 years Paint – 10 years All plumbing, including valves – 5 year Transmission – 5 years Water Tank – Lifetime
Specifications • Section 5. 6 – Clarification: cover paint shall meet cab color • Section 5. 8 – Clarification: 200 watt siren • Section 6. 5 – 2 clarifications • Turn signals installation location: – Separate housing on the cab corners outboard of each headlight housing • Side zone lower lighting location: – 3 rd point: Each side of the body • LED Deck Lights: – Lights shall be operated by a cup switch located on the rear of the body • Section 7. 8 Clarification – Reads: 5 inch female and 4. 5 inch female • Should read six (6) inch female and four and a half (4. 5) inch female
