Pre – K 4 Ms. Saglimbeni Weekly Newsletter Pre – K 4 October 15 to October 18 It is mandated by the New York City Department of Education that Pre- K For All Students MUST receive the influenza vaccine. The Doe mandates that all students must be vaccinated by December 31, 2019. In order for your child to return to school after Christmas Break (Monday, January 6, 2020), please submit documentation stating that your child has received the vaccine prior to that Date. 718 -882 -2203 Home Connection: At home, ask your scientist about different things that can use our five senses (sight, hearing, and smell, touch and taste). For example: you can use an apple. How does it taste, feel, sound, look like and smell. Ask them to use descriptive words to describe the objects. Parents if you would like to come in and read a book or do a craft with the students, just let me know. IMPORTANT INFO This week in Pre- K 4, the scientists are wrapping up the Five Senses study. We will review sight, hear, and smell. We are going to explore our senses of taste and touch. Pre-K 4 will investigate different textures and how things feel against our skin.
