PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK 29 th June- 3 rd July

Monday 29 th June Let us begin this week praying for the health of all our nation. For those who are fearful and anxious as we slowly move to a new normal, may they be at peace and free from worry. Let us ask that all members of our community are safe this week, use the gifts that God has given them and always try to improve the areas they live in. St Joseph – Pray for us

Tuesday 30 th June Dear Lord We pray for our local community. We pray for our homes and our families, for our schools and young people. We ask that our neighborhoods may be places of trust and friendship, where all are known and cared for. St Joseph – Pray for us

Wednesday 1 st July Dear Lord Let us not forget those people who demonstrate love and compassion to our communities, the key workers. Let us thank God for all the commitment they show in order that we can stay safe. St Joseph – Pray for them

Let us take our prayers to the mother of Christ and ask that she intercedes for us; Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious. Advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us. And after this, our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God, That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen. Thursday 2 nd July

Friday 3 rd July Let us conclude this week with the prayers of pope Francis; Mother of God and our Mother, pray for us to God, the Father of mercies, that this great suffering may end and that hope and peace may dawn anew. Plead with your divine Son, as you did at Cana, so that the families of the sick and the victims be comforted, and their hearts be opened to confidence and trust.
