Assessment Criteria Unit/Criteria reference To achieve the criteria, you must show that you are able to: A. P 1 Summarise how participants comply with the rules/laws and regulations in individual and team sports. B. P 2 Discuss the skills, techniques and tactics required in two different sports. A. M 1 Assess how participants comply with the rules/laws and regulations and the impact on individual and team sport. B. M 2 Assess the skills, techniques and tactics required in two different sports. AB. D 1 Evaluate how participants use skills, techniques and tactics required in individual and team sports and their compliance of rules/laws and regulations impacts on individual/team performance.
Task P 1 - Badminton The report you provide, generated from your video analysis, should include; • Rules/laws as regulated by the national or international governing body for the two selected sports • Competition rules/laws and regulations • Unwritten rules and/or etiquette specific to sport • Regulations for sports under competition rules
Task M 1 - Badminton Assess how participants comply with the rules/laws and regulations and the impact on individual and team sport. • Rules/laws as regulated by the national or international governing body for the two selected sports • Competition rules/laws and regulations • Unwritten rules and/or etiquette specific to sport • Regulations for sports under competition rules
Task D 1 - Badminton Evaluate how participants in individual and team sports and their compliance of rules/laws and regulations impacts on individual/team performance. • Rules/laws as regulated by the national or international governing body for the two selected sports • Competition rules/laws and regulations • Unwritten rules and/or etiquette specific to sport • Regulations for sports under competition rules
P 2 - Skills • Identify the different shots in badminton: summarise the skills and techniques that sports performers must master. Once you have identified the different shots (and described them) find what the different skills are below • Continuous skills • Serial skills • Attacking skills • Defensive skills
P 2 - Tactical Demands You should also include the tactical demands for both sports, covering the following components; • Defending • Attacking • Decision making • Communication • Environmental conditions
M 2 - Tactical Demands Assess the skills, techniques and tactics required in two different sports. • Assess the skills / shots of the player (Why are they good, how do you know? ) • Assess the types of skill • Assess the tactical demands for both sports (Include; Defending, Attacking, Decision making, Communication, Environmental conditions)
