Brachial Plexus
Brachial Plexus
Brachial Plexus From roots: 1 -Dorsal scapular nerve (C 5) 2 -Long thoracic nerve (C 5, 6, 7) From upper trunk: 1 -Suprascapular nerve (C 5, 6) 2 -Nerve to subclavius (C 5, 6) From lateral cord: 1 -Lateral pectoral nerve (C 5, 6, 7) 2 -Lateral root of median nerve (C 5, 6, 7) 3 -Musculocutaneous nerve (C 5, 6, 7)
Brachial Plexus From medial cord: 1 -Medial pectoral nerve (C 8, T 1) 2 -Medial cutaneous nerve of arm (C 8, T 1) 3 -Medial cutaneous nerve of forearm (C 8, T 1) 4 -Medial root of median nerve (C 8, T 1) 5 -Ulnar nerve (C 7, 8, T 1) From posterior cord: 1 -Upper subscapular nerve (C 5, 6) 2 -Lower subscapular nerve (C 5, 6) 3 -Nerve to latissimus dorsi (Thoraco dorsal nerve) (C 6, 7, 8) 4 -Axillary nerve (C 5, 6) 5 -Radial nerve (C 5, 6, 7, 8, T 1)

Brachial Plexus
Brachial Plexus • All three cords of brachial plexus lie above and lateral to the 1 st part of axillary artery. • The medial cord crosses behind the artery to reach the medial side of the 2 nd part of the artery, the posterior cord lies behind the 2 nd part of the artery& lateral cord on the lateral side • (so, the cords have the relationship to the second part of the artery indicated by their names).
