SIPPS is… a systematic, differentiated foundational skills program that develops the word-recognition strategies and skills that enable students to become fluent and confident readers and writers. SIPPS outcome is to develop independent, fluent readers who read with accuracy and automaticity.

John Barenberg • • • Third Grade Teacher at Marsing Elementary School I teach reading to all our third graders I teach a small group of 3 rd graders for reading intervention I’ve been using SIPPS for approximately 12 years using the challenge level as a supplement and intervention for reading This year I am using SIPPS Beginning level for small group instruction I’ve known Leslie for many years (1976)!
Leslie Dudman • 15 years as a 3 rd or 4 th grade teacher • Currently an intervention teacher 1 -5 math and K & 3 -5 reading at Marsing Elementary • I use SIPPS Extension and Challenge Level with 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th grade students in small groups • I started using SIPPS 12 years ago and introduced John to the Challenge Level
