Pathway Overview Ø Careers focus on the application of science, engineering and mechanical application to develop and operate agriculture machines Ø Duties include: • working with electronics • designing and managing machinery and equipment • studying engineering principles 3

Agricultural Engineer Ø Career description: • solve agricultural problems involving power and machinery, building structures, soil and water conservation and processing of agricultural products • design agricultural machinery and equipment 4

Agricultural Engineer Ø Career description: • design agricultural structures such as crop storage and animal shelters • develop environmental and land reclamation projects • develop ways to conserve soil and water 5

Agricultural Engineer Ø Education/training: • bachelor’s degree in physical science, mathematics or some area of engineering Ø Median salary: • $71, 090 6

Global Positioning System Technician Ø Career description: • create maps as requests are made • use global positioning technology to locate precise reference points 7
