Development (발생) • After infection unseen on leaf tissue for a latency period of 21 days (엽 침입 후 21일간 잠복기) • Development on the under side of the leaf 잎뒷면에 발생 • When first symptoms visible: many leaves already infected 초기 발견되었을 때: 다른 부위 잎 이미 감염 우려 • Leaves can not recover ! 발견후 회복 불가 • 1 % leaf infection results in 1 % production loss 1%감염 1%수량 감소 • Control from the first infection is very important 초기 방제가 매우 중요 • No powdery mildew resistant varieties exist (only torerant) 흰가루 내성 품종 개발됨 (저항성-tolerent)

Powdery mildew, Leveillula taurica, grows through the stomates and produces white colonies of abundant spores (conidia) borne singly on stalks (conidiophores) on the underside of greenhouse pepper leaves. 흰가루, Leveillula taurica, 는 기공을 통해 침입하고 고추의 푸른 잎뒷면에 균사체와 포자로 이루어 진 흰감염부위 형성됨
