SDGs - UN System Reset - SDGs are intergovernmentally negotiated, and owned by countries Many countries will use the SDGs as the main reference to prepare new national SD commitments and plans Countries will look to international community for coordinated and integrated policy support FAO’s perspectives are strongly represented Internal and external initiatives are already in place to help FAO to play its role UN System gets ready for immediate implementation after Post-2015 Summit in September

SDGs a new integrated framework for Sustainable Development Goal 2 is very much inspired by the Zero Hunger Challenge The targets address: Ø Food security – Access to food Ø Malnutrition – In all dimensions Ø Smallholder productivity and incomes Ø Sustainable and resilient agricultural production Ø Agricultural biodiversity
