Study Leave Requests – FY 2 and above SL Allocation; • 30 days FTE

Study Leave Requests – FY 2 and above SL Allocation; • 30 days FTE per year – LTFT allocation is pro rata • For Core and GP trainees your training days are top sliced off your SL allocation: Core – 21 days are top sliced over two rotations; GPs approximately 12 days over two rotations • Foundation - 10 days SL per 4 month rotation. SL and Expenses • If there are expenses with your SL you wish to claim for these must be detailed with your SL request on Intrepid.

Study Leave Requests – FY 2 and above • Your Statutory and Mandatory training also needs to be up-to-date (green buttons) for SL will be approved. • Your stat and man must be up-to-date within 2 months of being in post. • Your Statutory and Mandatory training can/should be pass ported from your previous employer to our team here at SHFT – LEa. E Pay Claims - SHFT • SL expenses are claimed on E Pay – NOT INTREPID • You can claim these expenses back once the event has taken place (and within 3 months of the event taking place). • Please note, no retrospective expenses will be approved.

E Pay Claims • When logged into E Pay you need to select the ‘Training’ button. • Provide clear details of each element of your expenses on separate lines (mileage, train, accommodation, fees) • Provide proof of payment with each line (expense) • Read the Study Leave Guidelines issued by the Deanery to understand what/how much your expenses claim covers.

STUDY LEAVE (INTREPID) with expenses & claiming STUDY LEAVE EXPENSES (E PAY) Discuss SL with CS and check that dates are achievable from a work perspective SL Request(Intrepid) at least 6 weeks ahead of event (with details of expenses) Expenses must be claimed within 3 months of conference/course taking place. SL request goes to your CS to approve on Intrepid – it will not move on until it has been approved Take care to provide full and clear details of each element of expenses you are claiming for on E Pay It is your responsibility to ask your supervisor if they have approved your SL Each expense must be detailed on a separate line on E Pay, with the relevant proof of purchase attached You will be notified when full approval has been given You cannot claim the expenses back on E Pay until the conference/course has taken place (this may be some months later)
