Possible DOE issues from IPR DOE referees pointed
Possible DOE issues from IPR DOE referees pointed out the possible risk that SAND will arrive late for assembling in the Near Hall. A two-fold preamble was given: 1. Yoke-Magnet-ECAL are supposed to be transported at FNAL in 2024. They will be all tested in a dedicated FNAL hall. 2. The cryostat is foreseen to have the ECAL and Inner tacker assembled before going into the ND-hall. However, it may be lay down “as it is” in the hall as soon as the beneficial occupancy will be defined. Therefore, SAND without the tracker can be positioned in the alcove first. Then, a modular tracker for further installation should be envisaged. Clearly, SAND without any tracker is not adequate for DAY-1

Our suggestions: 1) En, pm resolutions: < 1 Ge. V since an energy resolution of 1 Ge. V would completely was out any spectral variation we suggest to split the specification in two ones as pm< 5 -10% and En < 10 -15% 2) Vertex reconstruction: < 50 cm such a vertex reconstruction is incompatible with the requirement of NDM 9, we suggest to change it as: vertex resolution < 5 cm 3) Track timing: < 20 ns since in a 20 ns window tracks can cross the entire detector it would not be possible to separate external background we suggest to change it as: time resolution < 1 ns in the tracker and < 400 ps in the ECAL 5 01. 06. 21
