POSITIVE THINKING
Negative thoughts make man ill, positive ones restore him to health or keep him healthy. Thoughts, sensations and also unconscious emotions mould our behavior, our gestures, facial expressions, every movement and particularly our words and actions.
POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE THOUGHTS Positive thoughts: they are loving, kind, gentle thoughts, thoughts of trust and benevolence, thoughts of serving, thoughts of peace, joy and happiness.
Positive Thinking is a way of life rather than a momentary thought. We need to learn to develop thinking positively as an ingrained habit rather than something we pull out only whenever we realize things may not be going as we want. simply by thinking either positively or negatively isn't going to instantly make our world better or worse. It does, however, affect how we react, both to people and situations.
a positive way of thinking will not going to solve all your problems. But it will help you to deal with them better, and giving you a better perspective on your problems. Positive people are happy people. They manage stress better, they have better relationships, they are healthier, and they are happier and often more successful in their careers
Negative thoughts: thinking negatively about yourself, about others, or about circumstances are destructive thoughts; thoughts of envy, jealousy, hatred, anger, fury, aggression, mistrust, anxiety, fear of illness or losing one’s partner or friends, thoughts of putting yourself above others and of putting others down they are depressive thoughts.
When a positive person becomes stuck in traffic, they think, “I’ll be late but now I can use this time to call my friend, ” or “I’m sure this will clear up soon. ” A negative person thinks or says, “I don’t want to be late. ” Or “Why does this always happen to me? ” Consider what an effect of 10 years of negative thoughts can have on your body, your relationships, and even your financial status.
POSITIVE THINKING TECHNIQUES Self-Talk: One technique that will help you think more positively is to become aware of your negative “self talk” and replace negative thoughts with positive ones. Pay attention to your thoughts. Some people say they notice more negative thinking when they are tired, sick, or dealing with a lot of stress. Write down negative thoughts in a small pad
Develop positive statements to replace negative ones Use positive words such as happy, peaceful, loving, enthusiastic, and warm. Avoid negative words such as worried, frightened, upset, tired, bored Always use the present tense, e. g. , “I am healthy, I am well, I am happy, I have a good job, ” as if the condition already exists. Personalize the statements, direct them towards yourself, e. g. , use I, me, or your own name
Replace the negative thought with the positive whenever you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts Repeat the positive thought over and over to yourself, out loud whenever you get a chance or write the positive thought over and over Share the positive thought with another person who can affirm that the positive is true and who can also help you reinforce thought
Make signs that say the positive thought and place them in places where you will see them often Changing the negative thoughts you have about yourself to positive ones takes time and persistence (may be four to six weeks)

View your goal AS THOUGH IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. Put feeling, colour (if you can), sound, humour, and activity into it as you can as though it were a movie. Have people in your "movie" complimenting you for reaching your goal, or admiring your new "thing", being happy for you, etc. Spend a few minutes immersing yourself into this movie with as many of your senses as you are able to include.
Practice this technique each night before you go to sleep It prepares you for the bumps in the road because you can visualize how you would handle them before they occur. Use this exercise before any stressful part of your day, visualize yourself handling the task with ease and success.
