PHILOSOPHY OF COACHING The relationship with the players is the most important thing. We want to teach our student -athletes, through the game of basketball, how to lives of great character. We want our players to be taught how to live right and to be able to see their coaches modeling that same behavior that is being taught. We will have high expectations for our players and will set high goals for them that can only be achieved through hard work and self-discipline. We want our players to have the greatest experience of their lives playing for Pope. In the end, we want Pope basketball players to say that: 1) they were pushed to work hard in achieving high goals and expectations; 2) they learned a lot about life and the game of basketball; and 3) they loved every single minute of it.
