Special Economic Zone It is a part of territory which is administered separately, allocated for the running of businesses on preferential terms. The SEZ is a place which is subject to special treatment and tax exemptions where an entrepreneur can establish a business on a specially prepared site and run it without paying income tax. 4

Income tax exemptions The entrepreneurs having the permit to do business in the PSEZ are exempted from income tax related to: - investments specified in a permit and/or - employment creation specified in a permit The minimum amount of investment costs must be EUR 100, 000 and activity within the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone must be conducted in accordance with the conditions of the permit for at least 5 years (3 years for SMEs).

Public Aid In case of public aid for newly established investment the eligible outlays cover inter alia: purchase of real estate or the right for the perpetual usufruct, purchase of fixed assets related to the new investment, expansion or modernization of the already existing fixed assets, purchase of intangible and legal assets related to transfer of technology. 9
