Pollution Prevention – OBJECTIVES Pollution Prevention Objectives: 1. consider whole-of-life pollution risks throughout the Capability Life Cycle; 2. procure more environmentally friendly products; 3. minimise potentially polluting activities and the use of polluting substances; 4. incorporate pollution control measures into the design, construction, maintenance and redevelopment of Defence establishments, facilities, materiel and infrastructure; and 5. handle, store and dispose potentially polluting substances appropriately.
