Clinton Campaign: Traditional - Well coordinated message - Support of Key Democratic Leaders (Obamas, Bidens, even Bernie!) - Numerous TV ads (attack ads!) - Many offices throughout the country - Funded through large donations, PACS, and Super. PACS

Trump Campaign: Untraditional - Messaging has been unclear - Minimal support from GOP (even feuding with Paul Ryan) - Few TV ads - “Self-funded” - Small number of offices

DISCUSS! Why do politicians need to run a campaign in the first place?

Why do we need them in the first place? It really comes down to campaign financing. Elections have become so expensive that it is necessary for candidates to establish campaigns to supply funding.

DISCUSS! How are they able to gain the financing that they need? (Remember, why did the Republicans and the Democrats betray the American workers? )

Campaigns need Donors! Campaigns need donors! Traditional Republicans believe in “free-market capitalism” but now justify insane corporate welfare. Traditional Democrats champion workers rights but now accept massive donations from Wall Street and other corporations. Both parties have to cater to big business to get the donations that they need!
