Classroom Rules 1. Be RESPECTFUL of everyone. 2. Let BAD attitudes outside. 3. Come PREPARED for class. 4. Turn in assignments ON TIME.
What students need to be prepared. 1. One Subject Notebook for Journal and Grammar Students 2. Notebook will keep this notebook in the classroom. for Notes and Classwork Students may use a multi-subject notebook or a binder with paper, as long as there is one section dedicated specifically to ELA. 3. Two Pocket Folder Students may use multi-subject notebook or binder with built in pockets, as long as there is one pocket dedicated to ELA. 4. Working Pencil, Pen, and Highlighter

Grading 90 80 70 60 59 – 100 = A – 89 = B – 79 = C – 69 = D and below = F *This scale will be used for all assignments. *Quarterly grades are comprised of both formal and informal assignments. The breakdown is as follows: 35% Informal Assignments : Classwork, homework, and quizzes. 65% Formal Assignments : Formal tests and projects.

Late Work Students will receive up to an 80% for any assignment that is late. Late assignments turned in after eight days will result in a zero.
