Police flash cards and badge 1 Look at
Police flash cards and badge 1. Look at the flash cards with your child. (look under Resources, Police Flashcards 1, 2, 3) 2. Discuss their purpose and use during the Police Officer daily work. Can you think of other equipment they use? 3. What is a jail? Do we have one in Malta? Where is it? 4. Can you mention your favourite picture and why? You may wish to print two sets and play a matching game or play a memory games while helping them familiarise with new vocabulary.
Look closely at the badge, what can you see? ü There is written Pulizija ta’ Malta and ‘Domine Dirige nos’ which means ‘God guide us’. ü The colour is dark blue, like the uniforms they wear. ü There is the eight-pointed cross, that represents Malta. Discuss with your child, if they had to help someone or do something good for others, what would it be? Then help them decide what they would like to have on their badge. Allow them to create their own badge.
