Course outcome Ability to EXPLAIN and CALCULATE restriking phenomenon, operation and selection of switchgear equipment. Ability to EVALUATE abnormal condition on equipment, application, choice of protective relay correctly Ability to EXPLAIN causes of overvoltage, evaluate application of arrester to equipment protection the related insulation coordination problems and necessity of earthing neutral. Ability to ANALYSE the neutral grounding concept and performance.
