Author’s Intent • The author’s reasoning or purpose in using a literary device or

Author’s Intent • The author’s reasoning or purpose in using a literary device or technique to convey an idea. • Think about the WHY! • WHY is this literary device or technique appropriate? What purpose does it serve? How does it function?
