Session 1: Democratic Transition and Governance • To support human rights networks • Reinforce

Session 1: Democratic Transition and Governance • To support human rights networks • Reinforce the funding of CSOs and Human Rights conditionality • Establish a regional coordination structure for enhancing dialogue between the CSOs and the EU

Session 2: Violence against women and women’s rights protection • CSOs have to lobby

Session 2: Violence against women and women’s rights protection • CSOs have to lobby and exert pressure on their governments in order to push them to sign and ratify the Istanbul Convention which has a holistic and multifaceted approach to violence against women and call them to adapt the national legislation to be in line with the Istanbul Convention • Enhance the role of media in combating violence against women: giving voices to women- victims of violence and reporting the abuses • Creation of a regional observatory on violence against women in Southern countries- which will alert on the abuses on women and promote an active involvement of the civil society on regional level

Session 3: Protecting the rights of vulnerable groups and preventing discrimination • Organization of regional thematic Forum focusing on LGBT Minorities in the Southern Neighbourhood Countries, in order to build Common Strategies; encourage networking and develop. a solid lobbying for LGBT persons • Enhancing the capacity of Civil Society Organizations regarding the adoption of Human Rights approach and LGBT People Rights. • Monitor media to avoid hate-speech and homophobia and prevent violence and discrimination against LGBT persons. • Support and Finance LGBT CSOs to enforce the capacity of these regional networks, through funding of programs for advocacy, for visibility.
