PERFECT PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! • We will be going over our class rules and some routines and procedures in the first couple of weeks. • Quiet signals: Count down from 3 to 1 and other signals as time goes on. • We will learn our routines for entering the classroom, getting supplies out, doing walk-in work, and working with partners and groups.
LET’S TRY IT! • In a few moments, when I say, “Go”, talk to the person next to you about what you had for breakfast this morning or for dinner last night. • Stop your conversation when I count down to quiet.
COUNTDOWN 3 -2 -1 • When you hear me say, “Countdown to quiet, in 3 -2 -1”, please stop your discussion, look at me and be ready for directions by the time I get to 1.
TABLE GROUPS • We will come up with rules when we set up table groups while we are doing projects
LEARN A LITTLE MORE EACH DAY! • We will keep learning about our classroom routines, procedures, and about each other all week! • Let’s make this a great year for everyone!
