Playscripts A whistle-stop lesson!

In today’s lesson, you are going to choose a chapter of ‘The Firework Maker’s

In today’s lesson, you are going to choose a chapter of ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter that you have read so far and convert it into a playscript! For my Year 6 s, I am sure that they will remember all the great learning that they had with CFT last year on playscripts and I am sure that the Year 4 s and 5 s will have had some teaching on this in Elm Class. However, the following PPT will help you to remember some of the key elements of playscripts. Work through the PPT first, following the instructions on the slides. This will help you to remember how to create a playscript. You will then choose a chapter of the book and work through the same process of finding the speech, thinking about stage directions and setting the scene. For today, you need to make sure that you have a draft playscript ready as you will be developing it more tomorrow.
