Discrete Alarms S Each alarm location is activated thru a radio frequency u 456. 400 MHz UHF S Alarm Locations are battery powered by 4 - 12 Volt Batteries S Batteries are kept charged by solar panels at each location.

Alarm Activation Alarm can be activated in 2 locations S Northeast Corner of Central Control Room (Tag # S-M-301 A) u. SS 2000 D Encoder, Microphone and Computer S Security Office Administration Building on St. Bernard Hwy. (Tag# S-M-301 B) u. SS 200 D Encoder and Microphone only

Alarm Activation S When event has been identified u. Appropriate alarm is activated by pressing the programmed key sequence on the SS 2000 D FSK Encoder or the computer in Central Control S Warning tones will sound for the pre- programmed period of 3 minutes or until cancelled. S The Microphone can be used for making emergency voice broadcasts

System Activation 3. Verify function selection SYSTEM ACTIVATED 2. Press the Function Button 1. With Key in, turn Key switch to “ON” 4. Press the “Send” Button

Canceling a Command or an Activation CANCEL ALL Before a Function has been sent, Press “CLEAR” to Cancel After a Function has been sent, Press “CLEAR” if polling is in progress then press “CANCEL ALL” and press “SEND”

SS 2000 D Alarms and Status Indicators PRINTER CARRIER AUX. § PRINTER – Indicates when the SS 2000 sends information to the printer § CARRIER – RF Channel busy indicator § AUX. – Auxillary use only KEY § KEY – Lights whenever a key on the mylar keypad is depressed

System Monitoring S The PC at the base station in central control continuously monitors the system S The software keeps running log of all events and “Quiet Test” responses S Quiet Tests are performed automatically S Failure of Quiet Test will be indicated on the PC
