Students must be prepared, current in their assignments and full participants in each class. �Grades are on the student’s permanent college record (i. e. the student’s transcript).

This includes attending class regularly, arriving on time, and staying for the entire class, regardless of other school activities and responsibilities. �Deadlines are strictly enforced. Late work and/or re-testing due to low scores are NOT permitted.

Plano ISD Health Sciences Academy covers the cost of scrubs, tuition, and books. Students are required to cover any additional costs/fees.

Courses - FERPA Students are protected by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974. In compliance with this Act, instructors will not discuss student grades, academic progress, or classroom attendance and/or participation with a student’s parent(s), unless the student is present and has signed a waiver form allowing the parent(s) to be present. A separate waiver form must be signed each time a parent and student meet with an instructor.

The Clinical Experience �Clinical experiences are limited in number. Placement into CNA and PCT

The Clinical Experience �Clinical experiences are limited in number. Placement into CNA and PCT clinical pathways occurs in the second semester of 10 th grade via a qualification process. Other pathway placement occurs during the second semester of 11 th grade. �Clinical involvement requires transportation to clinical sites, health insurance, immunization documentation, background check and drug screen prior to clinical placement.
