RHODE ISLAND § Founded in 1636 § Narragansett Indians sold land to Puritan Minister Roger Williams after he was banished from Massachusetts.

Anne Hutchinson

Anne Hutchinson Puritan who had discussion meetings after Minister’s sermons, questioning church’s teachings § She told the court that God spoke directly to her.
