Pick ONE of these two topics. Write a well-developed paragraph with details and examples. Monday Journal Write about a time that somebody judged you or stereotyped you. What did they think and why did they think that? How did you feel? How did you react? Did you do anything to change their assumption? If not, would you do something in the future? Write about a time that you judged or stereotyped someone else. What did you think and why did you think that? Do you know how the person felt about it or how they reacted? If not, then guess how they may have felt. Reflecting on this time, do you think your assumption was correct or not? Why?
Quick Write In one minute, write down as many stereotypes about a type or group of people as you can think of. (Common perceptions that are NOT grounded in truth or reason). Examples: Band Members = Nerds Muslims = Terrorists

Have you completed the “Where I’m From” piece? Have you completed the “Name” piece? Have you completed the “Food” piece? Writing Time You have two choice pieces as well! “What do you think when you look at me? ” is a great idea. Use your checklist and narrative writing cheat sheet! Use the rest of the class period to work on rough drafts for whatever pieces you need to keep drafting.
Tuesday! Come in, get out your rough drafts, and writing materials, and get to work! You have 40 minutes of time to work on and finalize your rough drafts.
TAG 3 Peer Feedback Revision Rotations Tell one specific positive thing about the writing. Ask one clarifying question to help make the writing clearer. Give one constructive suggestion to improve the writing. 1) Are there at least 2 pieces of figurative language in this piece? If not, tell them how many they need. 2) Are there at least 5 pieces of imagery or sensory details? If not, tell them how many they need. 3) Do they have a strong hook and conclusion? If not, tell them what to work on. You will have about 8 minutes per rotation to read and do the TAG 123. Make sure you return your feedback and the rough draft before you move on! Make sure each of your pieces is read by a different person.
TOMORROW THURSDAY FRIDAY Meet in the Media Center. Be sure to bring all your rough drafts and project information.
Wednesday in the Media Center Use this time to type your final drafts. Use the MLA guide given to you. Follow the directions! Make sure you save as PDF and make the title very clear. Save EVERYTHING to your number so you can retrieve it later!

Your Online Writing Portfolio Make your website name identifiable (i. e. your name, World Lit, etc. ) Get it set up and your pieces posted, and THEN play with the format, colors, photos, and extras. Save often! No one can see it until you hit “Publish. ” Once your site is published and finalized, go to Ms. Yeganegi’s blog and click on the Google. Forms link to submit your URL.
