How to stay on track • The Letter of Intent deadline is the most important deadline, because no other application materials can be submitted without a Letter of Intent • The instructions in the FOA aren’t suggestions, they’re requirements • Changes can be made to applications after they have been submitted on Exchange, but all documents must be resubmitted in order for DOE to get the newly-changed submission 9 energy. gov/sunshot

Final Thoughts: Tips for the Best Experience • Triple check your submission documents in Exchange. In particular, make sure that the documents are in their final format (i. e. no track changes are present still) • Summary slides are frequently used when communicating internally at DOE and when discussing the different meritorious projects that we are considering. Take care when making this slide. • Make sure that you have a well-thought-out justification for the budget you suggest, whether you decide to request the maximum award amount or something less. • Make sure to submit your application(s) multiple hours early, in order to account for any technical difficulties that may arise 27 energy. gov/sunshot
