Individualism/Collectivism Individualism • Pictures can be used for portfolio reviews and advertisement • When taking pictures, you are using a combination of your ideas, and your clients’.

Collectivism • Collaborative team work are in need when it comes to fashion photography • End product may be used amongst many clients and advertisers • Requires many hands for a photo-shoot to take place

Monochromic/ Polychromic Monochromic • Everything photo-shoot has a deadline, but scheduling can be flexible depending on the type of photography you do. • Checking lighting, camera, laptop, and models are set in place (multitasking) • In charge of having multiple sessions finished on time

Polychromic • Have to be flexible even with tight schedules • Flexible with locations • Coordinating with assistants, fashion stylists, directors, agencies and fashion editors to schedule shoots • Working overtime in order to finish final products for clients • Establishing relationships with clients and advertisers

Low Context/High Context Low Context • Assistants, makeup stylists, and clothing designers follow directions from the photographer • Good communication and relationship with models

High Context • Important to keep relationships with clients to receive more clients. • Always connecting and talking to other photographers. • Communication between clients, assistants, make-up artists, and stylists is vital each job • The photographer and clients need to communicate deadlines, and additional information for each shoot.

Conclusion • Photography can be fun, challenging, stressful and busy. • There are many types of photographers with various different culture types. • Find a passion and never let it go.
