Photo shoot Sketches + preparation

Preparation In preparation for my photo shoot I have asked my two models to

Preparation In preparation for my photo shoot I have asked my two models to wear light coloured jeans with a top that fits into any one of these colours. I have done some researching into colours that are associated with indie and rock and these are the ones I found thus, fitting with my genre. I also asked them to wear their hair down and leave it natural as this has a sort of messy-rock or indie-grunge style.

This photo may be used on the front cover or on the double page

This photo may be used on the front cover or on the double page spread. This photo shows the two artists with their arms around one anotherefore, implying a close friendship between the two people in the band. The photo will be a mid-shot as then you will be able to see most of the artists, this positioning gives room around the edges thus, this photo would suit the cover page well.

This image shows the artist sideways to the camera yet facing too. Therefore, connecting and keeping eye contact with the readers but creating a more indie shot. This image may be used somewhere like on the double page spread as I would not use this one on the front cover due to it not including both members from the band. However, the simplicity of a shot like this may also be useful for other aspects of the music magazine, such as CD covers or free items.

An image like this may be used on the front cover or most likely

An image like this may be used on the front cover or most likely on the double page article, as you can visibly see the artists face's thus creating more of a connection, yet it does not give much space for other text included on front covers, although, I could work around that.

This shot shows no relationship between the two artists and there is no eye

This shot shows no relationship between the two artists and there is no eye contact towards the camera. However, it is a very indie-shot so something like this may also be used for things such as CD covers or merchandise the band is selling. But would not be great for the front cover as there is little connection between artist and reader thus, not grasping passing by'ers attention.
