• Chaos is defined as “a state of utter confusion”. • This picture has no discernable pattern or rhythm • There are some examples of shape, line and texture. For example you can see the grid of a shopping cart, the textured upholstery of a chair, and many random lines from pieces of debris. • The colors of this photo are overwhelmingly cool. It’s mostly different shades of gray or black. There is one shock of yellow right in the middle of the picture. • The framing also makes it more chaotic. The viewer cannot tell where all this debris begins or ends; it is very confusing. • There is no negative space, this increases the chaos because the eye is drawn to many subjects.
