REVISIT Alphabet Look at an alphabet chart and practise the names of letters that children were finding tricky.

TEACH This is the trigraph… Can you do the action? ure as in pure We know it’s a trigraph because it has 3 letters making 1 sound. The letter ‘u’, the letter ‘r’ and the letter ‘e’ become special friends when they are next to each other. They make the new sound ‘ure’. We put a trigraph line underneath so that we know not to sound it out.
