Pros and Cons of Progressivism Pros � Flexible, integrated of academic subjects Cons � Students can fail academically because they’re only doing hands on things
Social Reconstructionism 1. Something you can do in your classroom is do class cleanup trips to clean up the Earth 2. Another thing you can do with the class is to participate in Habitat in Humanity. Go help build the houses.
Role of the Teacher/Student Teacher � Provide authentic learning activities that both instructions students and improve society. Student � Become intelligent problem solvers enjoy learning, and to live comfortably in the world.
