Strengthening Lasallian Education Using Mass Media and Technology • Maximize the use of mass media and technology in the design and delivery of the following: • Implementation of the GUIDING PRINCIPLES OF THE LASALLIAN FAMILY • Lasallian formation programs for all sectors • Campus ministry/evangelization programs • Religious education programs • Curricular and extra-curricular programs

Strengthening Lasallian Education Using Mass Media and Technology • Develop programs that will orient parents on the mass media and technology (e. g. , parenting seminars) • Review syllabi/curricula that would integrate media literacy and values awareness • Provide faculty members with training opportunities on the use of technology in enhancing classroom instruction

Strengthening Lasallian Education Using Mass Media and Technology • Design values awareness programs using alternative mediums using mass media technology primarily targeting the students (e. g. , youth camp) • Recommend policies to government units, particularly on the local level, to institute safeguards for young people in patronizing internet cafes

Insights from the Conference • Technology should be capitalized on its strengths and advantages • Technology should be used to enhance pedagogy • Human relationships remain to be at the core of any endeavor • Computers could not replace the teachers • Lasallians are challenged to further collaborate with various publics (e. g. , parents, business, government, mass media, church) in pursuit of the educational mission
