A God centered journey. . I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. Ephesians 1: 17
Do you want to engage with Him?
Come. . and Stay. “Come, follow me, ” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people. ” Matt 4: 19 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15: 4
Surrender/yielding Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (John 12: 24 -26) Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. (Matt 16: 24 -26)
Conviction and Commitment Under the power of The Holy Spirit We are called to; • ‘mortify’ the misdeeds of the body (put to death, subdue) • ‘throw off’ everything that hinders • ‘run’ with perseverance • Resist the devil • Make every effort to be found spotless and blameless
Motivation in Pursuit of Holiness Self centered God centered “our breakthroughs” Grieving the heart of God “Our success” Offensive to God “Our victory or defeat” Obedience and disobedience
God centered pursuit God wants us to walk in obedience, not victory… Victory is the by product of obedience.
Do you want to engage with this GOD? Positioning yourself – set apart Denying yourself – putting ego aside/flesh to death Obeying His leading – without compromise Pursuing Holiness with The Holy Spirit – taking responsibility
A good place to be God’s will
