Regional Level: Central and East Africa (1/2) • Working through a Multi-Agency Food Security and Nutrition Working Group – an innovative mechanism for coordination and transparency. Involving over 20 international agencies and NGO’s Phase Classification Integrated Food Security • Regional IPC support group: (UN agencies, NGO, Donors) • Regional Technical Steering Group: (FAO, WFP, UNICEF, ACF, Oxfam, Save, ICRC/IFRC) • Supported by a secretariat from the FAO Regional Emergency Office for Africa. • Coverage of 13 countries within Eastern and Central Africa Region: Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
