PFOS at Military Bases in Kansas Summary All military bases have started the site evaluation process for the presence of PFOS and PFOA compounds. Site Investigations are done for two active bases, in progress at the third base, and will be started in 2019 -2020 for the SFAAP. Ft. Leavenworth, with affected water-supply wells, has city water. Remedial Investigations will begin in the near future at sites with water and soil detections of PFOS and PFOA compounds. Protect and improve the health and environment of all Kansans
