Peter Speaks About Jesus Rescued from Prison This clip tells the story really well.

Peter in Prison Read Acts 12: 1 -5. Use the picture clues to help answer the questions Who arrested Peter? Where was Peter taken to? How many soldiers guarded Peter? What were Peter’s friends doing?

An Angel Comes Read verses 6 -11. When Peter was sleeping what did he have on his wrists and ankles? Peter had how many guards chained to him to stop him escaping? Who woke Peter up and what did he say? What happened next?

An Angel Comes What did the angel tell Peter to wear? Describe some of the amazing things that happened next. When did the angel leave Peter?

Prayers are answered Read verses 12 -19 Whose house did Peter go to? Who answered the door? What happened next? What did Peter’s friends say?

Prayers are answered What did Peter keep on doing? When his friends answered the door what was their reaction? What did Peter do next? What happened to the guards?

When the other Christians prayed for Peter, God heard them and rescued Peter. God can still change things today in answer to his people’s prayers. If you are trusting Jesus and belong to him, God has promised to hear your prayers. A helpful way to think about God answering our prayers is by thinking of traffic lights! • God might say “No” • God might say “Yes” God might say “Wait” His answer is always best for us

Like Peter, we should try to trust in God when things are difficult. His answer may be a surprise but you can be sure it will be best for you. Have a go at making a prayer list. Draw pictures to remind you of one thing to pray for every day. Here is an idea you might copy or there is another picture on the next slide. God Loves his People God loves his people and he takes care of those who trust him. If you love and trust God he will hear you when you pray. Others who love and trust God are praying for you too. We finish with a song that was recommended to me. I hope you like it too. God Bless, Colin
