S) Professional Profile Construction professional originally trained at John Laing Construction in UK who has specialized in providing project management and contractual services in construction and engineering for over 40 years, initially in the UK, and since 1980 in the Middle East, Far East and Africa. During that time he has acted for all members of the construction team including contractors, subcontractors, funders and national petroleum companies. He has extensive experience in all forms of dispute resolution and represented both claimant and defendant parties in several arbitrations. He has received appointments as Arbitrator and Adjudicator and represented clients in mediation. For the last 6 years Mr. Turner has been Contracts Director of G. P. Zachariades (Overseas) Ltd. Notable Matters have Included Ø General Commercial Manager of Fixed Equipment representing Trans Manche Link (TML) the Consortium of 10 national contractors from France and England in relation to the preparation of claim documents and resolution of disputes at the Channel Tunnel in excess of ₤ 200 million Ø Representing an International Consortium from USA, Italy and Kuwait in arbitral proceedings in Parising out of extensions of time and loss of productivity claims relating to the construction of two motorway contracts and an Entertainment City in Kuwait. Ø Mr. Turner was subsequently nominated to an Arbitral Tribunal at the ICC in Paris in connection with a dispute over the construction of a major hospital complex in Kuwait. Ø Representing IPCO Marine, a specialist marine design and construct engineering group from Singapore including preparing and Negotiating the Contract with Nigeria National Petroleum Company for the Bonny Export Terminal Project including working with Clifford Chance and Credit Suisse on the pre-financing and Oil Off-Take agreements. Ø Representing International Contractors Group in the first contract to be prepared for the Baghdad Sewerage Contract No. 1 for Baghdad Sewerage Board including the importation of a Danish factory for the manufacture of large diameter reinforced concrete spun iron pipes and the importation and setting up of thrust bore tunneling equipment. Ø Project Director for the design and construction of North Lantau Refuse Station a satellite project of the new Chep Lap Kok airport completed on time and within budget including preparation and amicable settlement of acceleration claim with Pacific Waste Management the US operator and the Environmental Department of the Hong Kong Government.
