additional resources setup • this session can be run face to face or virtually • • assign participants to small group beforehand (max 4 persons per group) If Zoom is not an option: how to run breakout rooms in Microsoft Teams • Video intro to personal maps • attendees need: paper, colored pens to draw. If the session is remote: laptop, webcam, a way to share a map with others (ex. smartphone to take & share a picture) • Motivation behind personal maps • Alternative ways to run this session • allocate at least 10 minutes for each map to be presented • provide instructions & clear timeline to each group • more tips can be found in the note fields of this slide deck

create your maps This exercise is individual. Draw your own personal map on a piece of paper. Example categories: Goal Values Work Hobbies Family Home Education (feel free to add more!) When you are done, share your map with the rest of the group. 10 minutes ends at 10: 20
present and discuss This exercise is a group discussion. 1. Select another team member to present your personal map. 2. Take a minute to look at the map you have received. 3. In turns, present the maps. If remote, share your screen to show it to everyone. You don’t have to present every details, focus on those that catch your attention and ask questions to the person who created the map. Keep it interactive and fun. Other people are welcome to participate with questions and remarks. “Susanne, you wrote ‘freedom’ as one of your values. What is freedom to you? ” “You have travelled to Bolivia? When was that and what did you enjoy there? ” 40 minutes ends at 11: 00 be mindful to split the time equally! when you have completed this part, go back to the main room
