Not only did Jefferson clearly outline a much needed break, but he also was eloquent in stating his specific reasons that King George was not being a loyal leader. If the job of the government is to protect the people’s safety and happiness, King George’s actions were in direct contrast to this idea…

Instead, think of a habit, routine, or personal characteristic of yours that you feel lessens your ability to reach your fullest potential. What if you could declare yourself independent of this challenge and overcome the hold it has on you?

List at least three examples. • Body Paragraph 3 (5 pts) Make a plan of action for becoming independent of this concept. Basically, how are you going to change? What steps will you take? Conclusion (5 pts) How will this independence benefit you in your life? • • Fully developed paragraphs must have 8 -10 sentences to include a topic sentence at the beginning of each paragraph (10 pts) Total points for this essay = 35 points.
