PERKEMBANGAN KOMPUTER a 1 Kronologi Perkembagan Komputer generasi

PERKEMBANGAN KOMPUTER a. 1. § § § § § Kronologi Perkembagan Komputer generasi pertama Menggunakan teknologi tabung hampa sebagai alat pemroses da penyimpan data Memori sangat rendah Perlu pemanasan awal yang tinggi Kemampuan mengolah data sangat lambat Ukuran sangat besar Cepat panas dan mudah terbakar Memerlukan banyak tabung hampa Penggunaan tenaga listrik sangat besar GBR Contoh : ENIAC, EDVAC, UNIVAC 1, SEAD, G-15, SWAC

2. Komputer Generasi Kedua § Menggunakan teknologi transistor § Memori relatif kecil § Kecepatan mengolah data lebih tinggi § Kebutuhan untuk pemanasannya tidak terlalu tinggi § Ukuran fisik lebih kecil § Transistor tidak sepanas tabung hampa § Pemakaian daya listrik lebih hemat § Penyimpanan data secara magnetik § Menjadi titik awal fenomena minikomputer § Menggunakan bahasa tingkat tinggi ( bahasa pemrograman FORTRAN dan COBOL) Contoh : IBM 1401, IBM 7090 da ILLIAC-11 GBR

3. Komputer Generasi Ketiga § Menggunakan Monolitic Integrated Circuit (MIC) dan Large Scale Integration (LSI) § Mempunyai memori lebih besar § Bekerja lebih cepat § Ukuran fisik lebih kecil § Teknologi transistor digantikan dengan chip § Meggunakan teknologi small-and medium-scale integration § Sebagai titik awal fenomena mikrokomputer § Komputer menjadi lebih kecil dan lebih murah § Konsep time sharing § Banyak bahasa pemrograman dihasilkan (BASIC, PASCAL) § Contoh : IBM system/360, DEC PDP-8 GBR

4. Komputer Generasi Keempat (1971) § Menggunakan Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) § Contoh : BMC, IBM dan Apple GBR 5. Komputer Generasi Kelima § Menggunakan teknologi Very Large-Scale Integration (VLSI) § Mempunyai beberapa pemrosesan CPU berfungsi secara serentak GBR

c. Sejarah Perkembangan Prosesor Komputer Prosesor otak dan pusat pengendali Semakin besar ukuran prosesor, semakin cepat proses pengolahan dan pengaksesan data atau informasi Merk prosesor : AMD, APPLE, Cirex e VIA, IBM, IDT dan INTEL GBR
