Welcome - people management in today's multinational organisations! IHRM is defined to cover all the issues related to the management of people in an international context (Dowling et al 2008, p. 5) Students • should understand the link between firm strategy, capabilities and human resources (HR) and the role of HR in managing a global workforce • Will learn how firms can use IHRM practices such as performance management, talent management and expatriation to manage their human capital globally • Will learn how to facilitate value creation through the means of social architecture and change management

Portfolio assignments • Idea that you prepare for lessons according to the instructions • Only after lesson, please do the portfolio assignment please do not do in wrong order in order to maximize your learning • Joint deadline for all portfolio assignments after the sessions – you have a week to polish your portfolio

Evaluation criteria • Assignments 40 % (4 x 5 p + 2 x 10 p) • Student portfolio 50 % (2 x 15 p + 1 x 20 p) • Active participation in all lessons 10 % - (10 x 1 p + 2 bonus)
