People Inc. ESS - Overview • The People Inc. Employee Self Service Module is designed to provide all employees access to their information recorded in the People Inc. database (if required). • Employees can also view other selected information held in the system (for example current vacancies and training courses). • It allows employees to book holidays via the intranet and for this to be authorised by their manager • Other functionality such as Timesheet management, Expense Claims, Performance Management etc. can be added as required. • The PI ESS shares the same database as People Inc. so there are no compatibility issues or duplication of effort • The potential time and cost savings for such a system are very significant. • ‘Who sees what’ managed by HR using the People Inc.
